Helping Shattered Lives In Our Community and Fostering Fellowship Among the Church

Pastor Pettway had a dream to build a center that would help repair the shattered lives in the community and it would be a catalyst to give people another opportunity at life. The Dream Center is a $2.4 million facility that is 1,100 square feet and it provides services such as General Equivalency Diploma (GED) classes, wellness classes and health screenings. Pettway believes that it is the church’s mission to take the gospel to the streets and minister to the whole man. He stated that “I don’t think a person is defined by their mistakes, nor does it hinder them from their dreams. The Dream Center reaches out to kids who don’t have their high school diploma, individuals who have been in trouble with the law or have been incarcerated and are coming back into the community. The Center can provide life skills, such as how to write checks, so that they will be able to function in society. For the elderly, we want to provide daytime activities and it will provide for them who have not earned a high school diploma or degree to get one as well.
