Pastor's Biographical Sketch
Ezekiel Pettway, Sr.
Ezekiel Pettway, Sr. is a native of Wilcox County, Alabama, and was educated in its school system. Pastor Pettway is a man of many callings. In 1979 he answered the call to protect and serve his fellow countrymen through his service in the United States Armed Forces — eleven years in all, eight in the Army and three in the Army National Guard. During that service to his country, he was called to minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ in 1984.
He was licensed and ordained July 29, 1984 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In 2011 he graduated from Selma University, Selma, Alabama, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Bible and Pastoral Ministry, and in 2013 he received his Master of Theology from Lift Bible Crusade College and Seminary in Ocean Springs, Mississippi.
Pastor Pettway has pastored several churches in the state of Alabama. He is currently the senior pastor of Maggie Street Missionary Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama, where his sixteen year tenure highlights him as a dynamic preacher, teacher, leader and counselor, with great compassion for the sick and the incarcerated.
He is passionate about what he does, compassionate and caring towards others, and committed to hard work — highly motivated and willing to sacrifice for the cause of Christ. His passion is people: he lives to inspire people to discover their purpose and reach their destiny.
He is married to Pamela Pettway, and they have four children — Darrell, Ezekiel Jr., Michelli, and Sasha.
